Ranveer Singh skips one award function in Delhi to avoid Deepika Padukone. From last month, there is a buzz going on that the couple has broken up. But couple hand-in-hand appearance at a party last year had silenced all the gossipers for sometime.
Ranveer Singh always beats the fashionistas of Bollywood with his quirky red carpet style. Naturally, he was conspicuous by his absence at the HT Most Stylish Awards, which took place on Friday night. Only because, his co-star from Padmavati and real ladylove Deepika Padukone was there, in mesmerizing black dress.
For months, the grapevine is abuzz with reports that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have broken up. While the couple's hand-in-hand appearance at a party last year silenced gossip mongers for a while, Deepika's comment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show about having imaginary babies with her xXx: Return of Xander Cage co-star Vin Diesel set tongues wagging again.
Apparently, Bhansali is going the extra mile to avoid any trouble for Padmavati. Already, the sets have been vandalised twice (in Jaipur and Kolhapur) for allegedly featuring a romantic dream sequence between Rani Padmini (Deepika) and the barbaric conqueror Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer). However, the team of Padmavati has issued several clarifications that no such scene was ever a part of the film.
