Baahubali 2 Movie First / 1st Day Collections: Bahubali – Part 1 has rose the expectation for the second part, Baahubali 2 The Conclusion. Even before its release, Baahubali made a market of Rs.500 Crores with the satellite rights and from distributors. The Karnataka government had earlier announced that a cap of Rs 200 on prices of movie tickets in state will be implemented from May 1. Bahubali 2, one of the most awaited films of the year, is breaking records even has raked more than Rs 500 crores at the box office. The release dates of the film are months away and the magnum opus is already setting records at the box office. News has it that the said collection of Rs 500 crore is mainly derived from the sales of its theatrical rights. Bahubali 2, much like the prequel, will release in three languages i.e. Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Karan Johar will be presenting the Hindi version of the film under his banner Dharma Productions. Now with the film gaining around Rs 500 crore alone for its theatrical rights, Bahubali will surely give Bollywood’s biggest films a run for their money.

Ramesh Bala, the industry tracker, provided Babubali’s pre-release breakup and it reveals that Bahubali’s Hindi version has brought in more than Rs 120 crore. Bahubali 2 has fetched over Rs 130 crore in Telugu states with its theatrical rights’ sale alone. Whereas in Tamil Nadu the amount is around Rs 47 crore and is counted as the highest price paid for a non-Rajinikanth starrer. This 2017 film has collected Rs 10 crore and Rs 45 crore in Kerala and Karnataka, simultaneously.

The overseas turnover of the film is commendable too. From North America alone, Bahubali has earned Rs 45 crore from the sale of distribution rights and the USA numbers are yet to be received. The prequel, Baahubali: The Beginning (also known as Bahubali) went on to become the first south Indian film dubbed in Hindi to rake Rs 100 crore at the Bollywood box office. The 2015 film’s satellite rights of all three versions had brought in Rs 45 crore. Due to this the cost for the second instalment’s satellite rights has skyrocketed already.

This massive pre-release business makes is clear the kind of interest and popularity Bahubali enjoys from around the world. We also hear that Bahubali 2’s visual effects will be much superior than the prequel, which has set a benchmark for period films in India. Currently, the Prabhas and Rana Dagubatti film was in post-production stage and more than 33 studios from all over the world have been working on its special effects.

Ranbir kapoor is busy shooting for Sanjay Dutt biopic directed by Rajkumar hirani. The film is currently being shot at Dutt’s Pali Hill residence and looks like the crew caused some inconvenience to the celebrity’s neighbours. The angry residents literally protested against the traffic jam that was created due to the shoot during the morning rush hours. It was only after the director apologised and agreed to wrap the shoot in 10 minutes that the situation came under control. Well, as they say, there is probably no way to escape the fury of a Mumbaikar stuck in traffic.

 The annoyed residents stalled the film’s shooting for nearly 40 minutes on Wednesday morning after the crew blocked the road of the posh locality resulting in traffic jam. The locals also claimed that the unit had littered the road so badly that it looked unfit for use.  The argument carried on till 9 am and came to an end only after Raju Hirani came out from Dutt’s Imperial Heights’ residence to apologise to the residents. The team had raised a set at the location to shoot for the biopic of Munna Bhai actor.

The rest of the shooting was expected to take place inside Sanjay Dutt's residence - a set has been erected inside Imperial Heights pictures of which went viral on social media yesterday. "There was a problem at Pali Hill and Hirani himself had to come out to apologise to the people. After the shoot, we made sure that all garbage was picked up and dumped at a proper place," Mumbai Mirror quoted a crew member as saying.

Following Mr Hirani's apology, the residents of Imperial Heights were pacified and allowed the crew to complete the outdoor shoot in peace, reported Mumbai Mirror.

36 Isis militants killed in US 'mother of all bombs' the GBU-43/B attack, says Afghan ministry

The United States dropped the “mother of all bombs” — the most powerful conventional bomb in the American arsenal — on an Islamic State cave complex in Afghanistan on Thursday, the Pentagon said, unleashing a weapon so massive that it had to be dropped from the rear of a cargo plane.The strike was the first combat use of what is formally named the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast.

 President Trump has bestowed additional authority on the Pentagon in his first months in office, which the military has argued will help it defeat the Islamic State more speedily. Mr. Trump did not say whether he had personally approved Thursday’s mission.“What I do is I authorize my military,” Mr. Trump said after a meeting with emergency workers at the White House. He called the bombing “another very, very successful mission.”

Up to 36 suspected Islamic State militants were killed in Afghanistan when the US dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb ever used in combat, the Afghan defence ministry said on Friday.To target what the military described as a “tunnel complex” used by the Isis’s Afghanistan affiliate, the US for the first time used what the military colloquially calls the “mother of all bombs”, the GBU-43/B.

“This is not the war on terror but the inhuman and most brutal misuse of our country as testing ground for new and dangerous weapons,” Mr. Karzai wrote on Twitter. “It is upon us, Afghans, to stop the USA.”

Jon B. Alterman, director of the Middle East Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said the Pentagon was being given leeway to carry out strategy without being told what, exactly, the overarching strategy is. “What they haven’t been given is a lot of strategic guidance to work with,” he said. “They can affect things, but without a guiding strategy, it’s hard to be sure you’re having the desired effect.”

Tuesday’s strike in Syria was requested by coalition allies on the ground near Tabqah, according to the United States Central Command, which oversees combat operations in the Middle East. The fighters had “identified the target location as an ISIS fighting position,” it said in a statement, using another name for the Islamic State.

The military said the target location turned out to be a “fighting position” for the Syrian Democratic Forces, who have been fighting the Islamic State alongside the United States.

“The coalition’s deepest condolences go out to the members of the S.D.F. and their families,” Central Command said in the statement, calling the episode “tragic.” Military officials said the cause was being investigated.

But the increased casualties in Syria “cannot be explained away simply by the increased tempo of the war,” said Chris Woods, director of Airwars.

He noted that the number of airstrikes and targets hit actually fell slightly in March, but said his group’s research indicated that civilian deaths had risen sixfold in Syria, with more than 350 killed last month alone.

“This indicates to us a possible loosening of U.S. battlefield rules,” he said, “which is placing civilians at greater risk of harm.”

Sharma and her family own the 20th floor of Badrinath Tower in Versova, Mumbai, where they have been residing as part of the society for a few years now. However, according to a report in the Mumbai Mirror, a neighbour of the Sharma family, Sunil Batra, filed a complaint at the BMC against an electric junction box installed on her floor. He also added several other complaints, saying that the Sharmas flouted several other laws of the society.

Batra says that he previously reported the electric box, and said that the actress was even previously asked to remove it. As he told the tabloid, “The civic officials inspected the premises and found the electric junction box highly objectionable. They have asked the Sharmas to remove it.” He also produced a copy of the letter written by the K Ward assistant engineer, which read as, “To the owners/occupiers of flat Nos 2001 and 2002, the installation of electric junction box in the common passage area of society is highly objectionable.

Anushka Sharma's spokesperson rejected these allegations, calling them baseless, saying that the junction box was only installed after all permissions were taken. “The actress owns three flats on the 20th floor and all permissions since 2013 are in place. Anushka and her family are law-abiding and responsible citizens and wouldn’t do anything to inconvenience or harm anyone.” An anonymous resident of the same building also came out to say that Batra had a personal grudge against the Sharma family and was doing so out of spite, having several illegal parking spaces himself.

Drexel Hamilton analyst Brian White sent a note to investors saying that the 5.8-inch iPhone 8 will be delayed, but still be available before next year.

"First off, our smartphone contact believes the 3-D sensing technology and OLED displays will only be offered with the 5.8-inch iPhone 8," White said to the news website.

Recent speculation has suggested the 3D sensing technology could be used for facial recognition as well as furthering Apple's growing ambitions in the augmented reality space.

The 5.8-inch iteration is expected to soar above the usual 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models Apple is likely to release in iPhone 7s form.

Box Office Collection Of Phillauri Movie First weekend.

Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh's romantic-comedy 'Phillauri' completed its first weekend at the Indian box-office. The film collected Rs 5.50 crore (nett) on Sunday, thus rounding up its weekend total to an estimated Rs 15 crore. The movie that hit theatres across the country on Friday, March 24, opened to a collection of an estimated Rs 4.02 crore and went on to collect Rs 5.50 crore (nett) on Saturday.

According to figures quoted by the producers, the film collected Rs 6.03 crore (nett) on Sunday and its three-day total collection read Rs 15.25 crore .

We are happy that the film has done good business over the weekend. It is a small film with a big heart and we are thrilled with the love that audiences have showered on it in India and internationally, Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, said in a statement.

Made on a budget of Rs 21 crore, Phillauri has already recovered Rs 12 crore from satellite and music rights.

"The cost of the film ensures that we already have a profitable film at hand. North India has done incredibly well for Phillauri given the subject of the film is set in Punjab and that we also have a huge north Indian star Diljt Dosanjh," Singh added.

Set in Phillaur, Punjab, the Anshai Lal directorial tells the story of Kanan (Suraj), who is persuaded by his friends and family to marry a tree to ward off the bad luck afflicting his love-life. To Kanan's surprise, this awakens an ancient tree spirit Shashi, played by Anushka.

Anushka has co-produced the film along with her brother Karnesh Sharma under their home banner Clean Slate Films and Fox Star Studios.

Phillauri Occupancy Rate: Anushka Sharma & Diljit Dosanjh's film opens to a decent start

Bollywood movie Phillauri starring Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh opened to a lukewarm response and is expected to make an average collection at the domestic box office on the first day.

Phillauri is one of the most-hyped Hindi movies of 2017. Anushka Sharma, who has also produced the movie, has heavily promoted the flick. The movie was released in around 1,000 cinema halls across India today, but had poor advance booking for its opening day. Trade experts predicted the film would start on a good note.

But Phillauri debuted to a lackluster response with its average occupancy reaching just 20 percent in the morning shows. The movie witnessed good footfalls in Delhi, Punjab, UP and other northern territories, where Diljit Dosanjh is popular.

The Anshai Lal directorial has already raked in 12 crores from its satellite and music rights. The makers credit this to “controlled costs and recovery” of the movie, which has been made on a budget of Rs 21 crore, including marketing and distribution, read a statement from Fox Star Studios. Looking at the film’s opening trend, one is expecting, the film to make a lifetime collection in the range of 30 crores or even little more, if the word of mouth stays strong.

MS Dhoni SPECIAL MESSAGE on Martyr's Day proves he is a true icon of India

Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not only an icon on the field but also off it. He has always been vocal about the sacrifices of the Indian Army and has time and again expressed the desire to serve the army in any form after retirement from the game. On the occasion of 'Martyr's Day' or 'Shaheed Diwas' which is celebrated every year on March 23, Dhoni gave a special message to the next generation of India.

Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India against the British rule on this day in 1931. So on this occasion, while speaking to veteran journalist Sunandan Lele, Dhoni said, “Personally it is a very important day for me. The modern day youngsters celebrate different days like New Year’s eve, Valentine’s day, Diwali, Eid and Christmas. At the same time it is also important that we look back into our history to remember what happened on March 23."

“It is a very significant day because Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were hanged by the British. It is important to note that Bhagat Singh was just 23. He wanted to do a lot of things. And in a short life span, he achieved a lot of things.

“It is important to know our history. The freedom that we have today is because of everyone’s contributions. There are many people who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the nation. I want to tell the youngsters March 23 ki zara yaad karo kurbani. If these people were not there, we would not have been able to roam freely like today. We would not the constitutional rights that we enjoy,” Dhoni added.

OPPO F3 PLUS REVIEW : Meets consumer demands in the best way it can

OPPO launched its latest "selfie expert" to remind everyone that it still has the best game. The all-new F3 Plus comes with a series of improvements, with prime focus on the front camera and battery, while an impressive design follows.

International Business Times India got a hands-on experience with the new OPPO smartphone for review, and we dug deep into the phone's hidden gems and charms. Did the F3 Plus impress us like the F1 Plus? Well, you'll have to read on to find out.

After using the F3 Plus for a week now, which comes equipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based ColorOS 3.0 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core chipset, there's a lot to debate. There have been many things, which made us go "wow," and some features where we wished there was more. Let's discuss them in detail, shall we?

OPPO smartphones are quite popular for their cameras; in fact, this company based its entire branding on that very factor and it is only justified the company delivers on it.
OPPO has never fallen short of giving its best, be it the premium F1 Plus or the mid-range F1s smartphones. Now with the F3 Plus, the company is continuing its signature trend. OPPO F3 Plus' biggest highlight is the front-facing dual camera, which has the capability to bring together large groups into one frame without using a selfie stick, and we sincerely mean it.

We tested the front camera for its wide-angle coverage, and nothing about it was worth picking on. There are two lenses, 16MP and 8MP with 120 degree wide-angle, to make sure you capture the best of selfies and group selfies (groufies if we may call it). The Beautify and other camera features are pretty much the same. There's a new blur effect in the Beautify mode, which blurs the background to bring out the subject with bokeh effect.

The rear camera is nothing short of impressive. In fact, we found the rear 16MP shooter, which has a large f/1.7 aperture lens, dual PDAF and 1.4um big Pixel Resolution to be better than the front dual camera for shooting portraits and landscapes in both daylight and low-light conditions. We must note that the screen flash in the front camera certainly helps in dim-lit areas.

That's the camera. Moving on, the next feature that grabbed our attention was the battery. The sizable 4000mAh battery packed inside the metal unibody of the F3 Plus is quite the charmer. During our review, we tested the battery life of the F3 Plus to last a full day (24 hours), with 4G LTE data turned on, calls, messages, social networking, music and mild gaming sessions. That was quite impressive on its own, but OPPO also added its proprietary VOOC charging support in the F3 Plus, which is a life-saver for those who are always in a rush. In just 30 minutes, the phone's battery charged from 30 percent to 70 percent, which is quite sufficient to keep you going for most part of the day.

The third change we couldn't help but notice in the F3 Plus is the subtle change in design. The front part is kept the same, complete with camera, bezel-less display and a capacitive touch Home button with fingerprint scanner. The main changes took place at the back of the phone. The F3 Plus has a micro-arc frame and it is so perfectly curved that it not only looks good but also gives a solid grip.

The traditional antenna lines at the back also got a makeover to make them look more stylish with two 3-string antenna bands. The rounded edges and a mirror finished outline around the handset make the phone visually appealing.

The fingerprint scanner, which is integrated with the home button of the phone, is undoubtedly one of the best we've seen so far. It is no doubt the previous OPPO phones had similar efficiency with the biometric scanning, but it is good to see the company continue that with the same amount of dedication.

Fate of the Furious to premiere at Berlin on April 4. Vin Diesel shares new poster

Summer’s beginning is going to be exciting and full of thrill as the much-awaited film Fate of The Furious or Fast and Furious 8 is going to hit the screens. But what’s even more exciting is the fact that the film will premiere a little early for the fans in Berlin. Yes, you read that right. The film will be premiered in Berlin on April 4, ten days ahead of its world premiere, which is scheduled for April 14. Isn’t that exciting?

The film that stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson among others is the eighth edition of the series which began in 2001. Ever since Fate of The Furious’ trailer released, it has become one of the most trending trailers worldwide. As per report in Variety, the film and its trailer dominated social media by being the most talked about topic with nearly 41,000 new conversations just in the last week, according to media measurement firm comScore and its PreAct service.

So far, two trailers of the film have been release among which one has some amazing action sequences, promising some edge-of-the-seat experience while the first glimpse of the film was more about how Dom aka Dwayne walks away showing back to his own family. Now that the movie is inching closer to the theatres, let’s see if the film would turn out to be as interesting as the trailer.

The film, which has been directed by American director Felix Gary Gray, also stars Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren and others.
